Statement of Commitment to Child Safety

advancedlife is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children and young people. We believe that every child has the right to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment, and we take our responsibility seriously in creating a child safe environment in all aspects of our work.

Our commitment to the safety of children is based on our duty of care and responsibilities to children and always acting in their best interests.

We uphold the National Child Safe Standards and strive to embed a child safe culture across our organisation. We are committed to:

  • Implementing and monitoring the 10 Child Safe Standards
  • Acting in the best interests of children and young people
  • Promoting the safety, participation, and empowerment of all children
  • Preventing child abuse and identifying and responding to child harm or risk of harm
  • Ensuring that all staff are aware of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework to guarantee that child safety and wellbeing is acknowledged throughout our work
  • Supporting and training our staff to understand their legal and moral obligations to report concerns about child safety and wellbeing

We all play an important role in protecting children, especially if we have concerns for a child’s safety. We aim to create a culture of child safety that reduces the opportunity for harm and gives staff a clear process to follow when someone raises concerns about child safety or reports abuse.

We have zero tolerance for any form of child abuse, and we will treat seriously all allegations and safety concerns in line with our policies and procedures.

Our Child Safe Statement applies to all our employees.
