No. There are many benefits to creating an account, including the ability to download your  child’s digital portrait, however you can order packages as a “Guest User” of our website  without creating an account.

No. advancedyou has been replaced by the advancedlife family account, where you can  view and download up to five years of archived portraits, track your order, reorder photos  from previous years and much more.

Simply enter your child’s Secure Image Code (SIC), found on any previously ordered or current year photo package and either the child’s Date of Birth or a school issued student ID number, depending on which form of verification your school has opted to use.

No. If you do not have your Secure Image Code (SIC) handy you can wait until this year’s  school photos are delivered and use the SIC on your package to verify and download your  portrait.

Most schools provide ordering information before photo day. This may be an envelope sent  home with your child or shared via your school’s email, newsletter or school app. Please  check your school’s communications for ordering links or codes. 

At most schools, parents and carers can order school photos in one of the following ways: 

Option 1: Order online 

You can place an order online by visiting our website www.advancedlife.com.au before  photo day, on the day or up to one week after photo day using the link or access code  provided by your school. 

Option 2: Order using an order envelope 

Many schools send home an advancedlife order envelope prior to photo day. Simply  complete the envelope, include cash payment, and return it to our photographers on photo  day.

Payment options 

• Online orders: secure online payment including: G-Pay, Pay-Pal, Apple Pay, Master  Card and Visa Card 

• Envelope orders: cash payment only 

Please note that we are unable to take orders or accept credit card or bank details over the  phone

 

Photo orders are processed once all school photography days are completed and student  details have been checked by your school. Some schools hold multiple photography days,  which can extend delivery time. 

Where gift orders are to be delivered directly to the home address you will be prompted to  provide an address at checkout. All other products are delivered directly to your school.

Our Student Image Capture procedure is followed by all advancedlife portrait/group photographers and staff members involved in high school student photo sessions. 

1. Guidelines for non-physical Interaction between students and staff

Directing students: 

• Students will be politely asked to adjust their appearance if necessary e.g. “Could you  please straighten your collar?”  

Requesting the assistance of peers: 

• If a student is having difficulty, our team may ask a school friend to assist. For example,  “Could you help your friend straighten their tie?” 

Requesting the assistance of teachers: 

• If peer assistance is not adequate, our team may request help from a teacher. For  example, “Ms. Smith, could you assist Johnny with fixing his shirt?” 

2. Appearance adjustment process 

• A mirror will be made available for students to view their appearance and make necessary adjustments. 

• Our team may request that students adjust their uniform or appearance to ensure the  best possible image is captured e.g. “Please use the mirror to adjust your hair on the right  side.” 

• Clean combs may be supplied to aid the subject adjust their appearance; the comb will be handed to the subject to use on their own hair. Used combs are placed into the used comb bin for cleaning and sanitising.

3. Communication and support 

• Our team will clearly explain to students and teachers that we are going to ask for their help in preparing them for their photographs. 

• Our team will use clear and concise instructions to verbally and visually assist students in adjusting their own appearance issues. 

• We have trained our team to ensure they understand and adhere to these guidelines and understand the importance of maintaining a professional and respectful environment. 

advancedlife staff members are committed to maintaining high standards in all aspects of their work. They will make every effort to address and correct any issues that may arise during the photo session without any physical interaction. This includes providing clear and precise instructions to students and teachers on how to adjust their appearance, posture,  and positioning. advancedlife staff members will guide subjects verbally or through demonstrations, ensuring that students and teachers are comfortable and confident in their presentation. 

By adhering to these guidelines and avoiding physical interaction, our team aims to maintain a professional and respectful environment. This approach not only ensures that students and staff are well-prepared in a safe environment.

 

Refunds 

Unsatisfactory items may be returned within 14 days of receipt for a refund with your name,  address, email, contact phone number and a description of your payment method, to receive  a refund of your package. 

Please note: A refund cannot be given if the high-resolution digital image file has already been downloaded. 

Portrait retake photos 

We’re unable to return to schools for retakes. Retake appointments are available at our regional offices. Contact our Parent Team for more information. 

Personalised gifts  

Personalised items cannot be refunded for change of mind or design choice. If an item arrives damaged, please email photos of the damage within 7 days of delivery.

 

School code 

Your school’s 9-digit ordering code is printed on the advancedlife order envelope sent home with your child. This code may also be shared in your school newsletter, school app or in other communication provided by your school. In most circumstances this code must be provided by your school and cannot be given out by advancedlife

Secure Image Code (SIC) 

Your child’s 9-digit SIC is printed on the back of any photo package you’ve purchased. 

Package options are chosen by your school and are displayed on our website ordering page after you enter the 9-digit code or login to your account. 

All packages include a portrait of your child. Depending on your school’s choice, class,  composite (an array of portraits) or year group photos may also be included.

advancedlife family account holders can review their order history on the My Account page and receipts are sent to their registered email account. 

If you are ordering as a guest, you will be prompted to enter your email address at checkout and receipts are sent to this email address. Please check your junk or spam folder and then if you still cannot find your receipt, please submit an order enquiry with your child’s name and class.

 

advancedlife Family Account holders can review the status of their or on the My Account page to review the status of their order. 

Please remember that school distribution can take several days. If others have received their photos, please allow up to 3 working days. 

If items are still missing, contact us using our contact form and include your receipt number and details of the missing items. 

If you need to change your order, please contact us using our contact form. 

To request a refund or make changes, contact us via the contact form and include your child’s full name, school and receipt number. 
Please note: refunds are not available once your high-resolution digital file has been downloaded.

 

Sibling photos must be ordered before photo day so the school can bring children together.  Orders can be placed online using your school’s 9-digit code or by cash using a sibling order envelope from the school office. If you do miss the deadline for ordering, you must instruct your school to make sure that your children still have the sibling photo taken, and you will get a chance again to order online after photography day. 

Online sibling orders close the day before photo day. Late orders may be available after photo day if a sibling photo was taken and may incur a handling fee. 

Please note: sibling photos are not offered at all schools.

 

If you have ordered online, we have a record of your payment and you do not need to return an envelope. We will photograph all children presented by the school to us for photography,  regardless of whether their family has placed an order or not.

You can reorder all photo packages through your advancedlife account.

Free portrait image downloads are only available at no charge if you originally ordered a photo package that included a separate portrait page and you downloaded the image prior to the following year's school photo day. Once the following year's portrait photo of your child has been taken and purchased, that image becomes your new free image. 

Yes. Late orders can be placed online only using your school’s 9-digit code. Orders made within a week of photo day are charged at regular prices; after that, a reorder fee applies. Late orders may arrive at your school in a separate delivery. 

All students are photographed and receive a card with a unique SIC code. If no order was placed, the card lets families view and purchase photos after photo day. 

If you’d like to collect your package directly from the school office, select the ‘collect your  package’ option when ordering online.

advancedlife cannot accept orders over the phone and cannot record or accept credit card information provided manually or verbally. For the security of our customers, all credit card transactions can only be made by customers online, using our secure websites. 

If your school has chosen these group photos, they will communicate with you when they are available to order.

If you do not have internet connection, the local library, internet cafe or a friend may be able to help. 

 

If you place an order after photography day for packages, sports groups, extra-curricular groups or event photographs, your order will be delivered to your school. 

If your child’s image is “not for publication” and your school is aware of your decision, your child should not be presented to our photographers on photo day and school photographs will not be available for purchase. 

All students presented to our photographers by your school for a photo will be photographed,  their images will appear in school photography packages and these packages will be available to purchase. If you are uncertain as to whether your school is aware that your child must not appear in photographs, please contact your school to confirm your wishes are complied with on school photo day and your child is not presented for a photograph. 

To obtain your digital portrait image, you must create an advancedlife account. You can access your digital image file by logging in to your family’s advancedlife account.

The current year's image is complimentary if you have purchased a package that includes a  separate photographic portrait page. 

This image will remain complimentary for download until a newer image is added, usually this  is the portrait image photographed the following year. 

Past archived images are $8, if you originally purchased a package that includes a separate  photographic portrait page. 

Past archived images are $20, if you originally purchased a package that did not include a  separate photographic portrait page.

a. Your child may have been absent on photo day on that year. 

b. There may have been an issue or changes with the data supplied to advancedlife that prevented an image from being linked correctly. Unfortunately, if this has occurred there is no way to re-link the image. 

c. Your school may not have had photos taken by another photography provider that year. 

A preview of your design is provided online to enable you to check your order prior to purchase. advancedlife takes no responsibility nor will provide a refund if you change your mind about a product you have ordered or if you have made an error when choosing your item. If your item is damaged during delivery, please photograph the damaged item and notify us by email within 7 days of receipt. All refunds on items damaged during delivery are made at the discretion of advancedlife.  

If you have already received your photographic package and are not completely satisfied, you  can return it within 14-days of receipt, along with your: name, address, email, contact phone  number and a description of your payment method, to receive a 100% refund of your package  or partial refund on part return:
